Regulatory and Licensing Issues Surrounding MEXC

As of the date of writing this article, MEXC does not publicly display valid regulatory licenses on its official website. In addition, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles previously confirmed that MEXC Global Ltd was not licensed under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act (VASP Act). Therefore, it is not licensed in Seychelles to provide digital asset services under that law.

MEXC is a high-risk platform with a poor reputation and faces serious criticism related to its regulatory and licensing status. The most notable documented fact is that MEXC Global Ltd, registered in Seychelles, was never licensed under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act (VASP Act). It was removed from the registry and officially dissolved on December 18, 2024, without submitting a new licensing application, which means it does not hold legal authorization to provide digital asset services from Seychelles.

The platform has also faced accusations of deliberately displaying forged and falsified licenses claiming authorization in Seychelles while this was not the case, according to an official warning issued by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles.
